John Paul Jones was a lot of things. The author of this book does an excellent job of sketching the many facets of Jones's character and the implications of his actions. This book allows the reader to understand Jones's place in Revolutionary History and his various contributions. The sea battles are vividly and excitingly described. All in all, this book is a worthy read.
